Museum of Colorado Prisons

The museum occupies Colorado's former Women's Correctional Facility built in 1935. Converted to a museum in 1988, it preserves more than a century of stories, exhibits, and artifacts from the state’s corrections history.

The Ute Winter Camps

Before European settlement, the Ute people wintered in the Royal Gorge for generations, taking advantage of its protection from harsh winds and relatively mild temperatures.
